Breathing Deep
I seem to be sighing a lot at the moment. Huge sighs that seem to rise up from the soles of my feet. I’m breathing deep and leaning in. I’m ignoring the inner critic, being kind to myself and I’m letting the tears flow when they need to – which is often.
But in the midst of all this sighing, I’m keeping busy. I’ve put together the details for our summer read-along of The Time Traveler’s Wife. We’re going to start reading on the 20th June (next Monday) and I want to invite you to join in, share your thoughts in blog posts, on Twitter and FaceBook, and in the comments box. I’ll be sharing a post offering my own response as I’m reading on Fridays, and I’ll be sharing a round-up post on Mondays to direct the beautiful community of readers that’s forming around this project to the posts sharing your perspective and thoughts.
I’ve also created a button for you to add to your blog side-bar. It’s at the bottom of this post, so all you need to do is scroll down, copy the code and paste it into a text box on your blog. I’m beginning to see these spring up here and there, and I can’t tell you happy it makes me feel that we’re joining together in this way.
And I’ve created a full moon dreamboard, which I assembled last night during the lunar eclipse. It felt like a really powerful event, and I wanted to try and express some of the energy I’ve been feeling. Here’s how it turned out…
My other piece of news is that my last post for Roots of She goes up today. I’ve been one of the writers in the Spring Tribe, and so I’ve been sharing posts there for the last 12 weeks. My posts have focused on the feminine life-stage archetypes the maiden, the lover, the mother and the crone. It’s been such an honour to contribute to this beautiful site – if you don’t know it, I urge you to check it out. I just know you’ll love it!
On a more personal note, I have decided to go to the airport. I’ve not found this an easy decision to make, so I wanted to thank everyone who got in touch with comforting words and advice. It really is such a huge opportunity for both myself and for them, and our airport goodbye will be the start of our great summer adventures.
In the meantime, I’m going to start reading The Time-Traveler’s Wife – will you be joining in?

Yes! I start marking GCSE papers on Monday, so I am hoping that reading The Time Traveler’s Wife will be a good way of spending my ‘break’ times.
Glad to hear you have banished the inner critic. Hurrah! 🙂
