The Service!!

Ok, the second thing I want to share with you is my 2012 My Word Goddess Reading. This is a completely new service and it will only run for a few weeks. It’s designed to help bring you clarity for choosing your word for 2012.

If this practice is new to you, then you may want to read this article that I wrote about my word of 2011: The Choice of A Word. But, in a nutshell, it’s basically choosing a word to guide you through the next 12 months – a touchstone, a mantra, a light to shine your way forward.

My new reading service looks like this…

  • a one-card spread where I will choose the goddess that will guide you through 2012.
  • a short description of your goddess guide and how she’ll be showing up for you throughout the year.
  • a selection of words that relate to this reading to help you choose your word for 2012.
  • an audio visualization to allow you to directly connect to the goddess, which you can return to as often as you need to.

Words used to describe this service by those who have received one so far are: insightful, thoughtful, deep, connected, clear, reminder, encouraging, enlightening, loving, guiding, profound, exciting, comforting, kick-ass, humbling, honest, perspective, and beautiful.

Doesn’t that sound like something you’d like to treat yourself to in the lead up to New Year’s? And I’m only charging £10 for these wee nuggets of awesomeness!!

Also, if you want to buy one for you and one for a friend, cos you’re that kind of generous friend, and well, let’s face it, it’s a pretty cool and affordable Christmas present, I’ll do you a special deal – 2 readings – 1 for you and 1 for your friend – for £15. Trust me, they’ll love you for it!

But don’t just take my word for it (no pun intended 😉 )…

Amy’s intuitiveness is profound. Her ability to channel a message transcends space and time in a way that’s as gentle as it is thought-provoking. The circle reading she provided was so thorough—filled with wonderful references to help me understand and learn so much about myself. I didn’t expect to be speechless from this experience but I was. When she provided me with a 2012 Goddess reading I was equally impressed—from her antidotes to her visualization—it exceeded my expectations and brought so much clarity. She’s amazing. ~ Tracey Selingo of Twisted Pinky & InkEngage

This year I’ve been waiting for my word to arrive in my consciousness. Amy offered to do me a reading which might show me what word was waiting for me to notice it.  What a powerful process. Amy takes her time and delivers more than you would ever expect. The reading along with a choice of possible words arrived and one jumped, quite literally, out at me. Thank you Amy for your timing and exquisite reading, I’m basking in the knowledge that having this word with me for 2012 is going to give me and my work such wonderful intention. Thank you, with all my heart.  Oh, and my word is Illuminate. ~ Jackie Walker

I can attest to the wonderfulness of such a reading – my reading had both Amy and I a bit gob-smacked at the forcefulness of the direction I was being shown, and my word Change just felt absolutely right, although I wouldn’t really have known it until it was pointed out to me with such clarity and kindness. Would recommend it to everyone! ~ Fiona Flanagan

Sound like your kind of thing? Select whether you just want 1 for you, or if you want 1 for you and 1 for a friend, and then click the Buy Now button. If also buying for a friend, make sure you tell me their email address in the Notes to Seller field in PayPal! Oh, and if you want to buy more than 2, email me, and we’ll sort out a fair price 🙂

The Giveaway!!

Ok, now the third and final thing I have to share with you is a giveaway – yay!!

The very talented and beautiful Sara Blackthorne of Forest of Stories has the *most* amazing online course which starts on Monday called Hidden At The Root. I’ll let her describe it in her own words…

Using weekly projects and writing exercises, this course — happening during the darkest season in the Northern Hemisphere — will guide you through facing some of your deepest fears and finding comfort in the Mystery, that liminal space between two stages of being. From where we are, where we were, to where we want to be going — there are great challenges we face within our own hearts. Looking at the stories we tell ourselves, the stories we tell others, we can recognize patterns and behaviors holding us back from moving forward and following our true work. It’s my hope that through gentle, guided exercises and inspirational words from other writers we can journey together through the darkest time of year, through the darkest parts of self-doubt and self-criticism, and emerge with lengthening days into blossoming creativity, greater energy, and a strong, sure footing on the path to our true work in the world.

Doesn’t that sound completely deep and thrilling and sacred? Well, the great thing is that Sara has very generously given me a place to give to one of my lovely readers. Woohoo!!!

So, here’s the deal. There are 3 ways to enter this giveaway. Do all 3 and you get 3 entries, giving you a better chance of winning your place on Sara’s course.

  1. Tweet a link to this post – make sure you add @amypalko to your tweet, so I know you’ve tweeted it!
  2. Share this post on FB – let me know you’ve done this in a comment below
  3. Leave a comment on this post telling me which character from a story you most identify with. The character can be from fairy tale, tv series, novel, movie or myth. I can’t wait to read your answers! In your comment, you may also want to add whether you have tweeted or shared on FB, just to make sure you get all your entries included.

You have 24 hours starting from 12pm today, so your entries need to be in by Saturday 12pm GMT. I’ll announce the winner on Sunday, so that the lucky winner can take their place at the start of the course on Monday.

It also means that if you don’t win the place, and the course is calling to you, you still have time to register!

Gosh it’s like an epic post full of the most luscious goodies!! I feel like Santa! But without the beard….

I’ve always identified with Alice (of Wonderland Fame). I even wore stripey tights most days between the ages of 8 and 16 😉

Alice was kind of bored, and kind of scathing and always looking for something more. Too curious sometimes, but always landed on her feet. That reminds me of me!

Posted to Facebook and Twitter also 🙂

I am really struggling to find one character whom I can completely identify with. With sooo many facets of myself being seen in Goddesses, Fairy Tales and novels… I feel at times I have played the role of the ‘liked to be liked’ Snow White. I have felt the inspirational energies of Bridged and Rhiannon and recently I have connected with the earthly beauty of Morrigon and Hecate as well as Archangel Haniel. I know I have been the Wicked Witch of the West as well as the Good Witch Glenda, at times I have felt so far away from home and powerless like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz…. I suppose it may be best to invent my own colourful character incorporating all of the above….. ooh what a woman she would be!!

I have shared your wonderful Xmas gift on FB and Twitter my darling xx

Can mine be an animal? If so, it’s Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. I tend to play small and have the “Thanks for noticing me” attitude. But Eeyore has some positive qualities I identify with too. He’s faithful and consistent with his friends. You can always count on him to be there for you. Also, he doesn’t pretend to be anybody other than he is. The Hundred Acre Wood wouldn’t be the same without him, and neither would the lives of his friends!
