It’s Time to Give Your Gifts
This morning I checked in with the goddesses. I was in that blissful between place, moving between the stages of waking, limbs languid, eyelids heavy, hair gently pillowing my face.
Almost without thinking, I send my roots reaching far below me to connect with my core crystal – that soul anchor which gives me grounding and stability. And then I picture an angel pouring white sparkling light down through my crown chakra. It filters all down my body’s energy centres before I push it gently out to form a bubble around my whole being.
From this place of grounded, open, protected consciousness I travel along a well worn path to the summit of Mount Olympus, where I ask the goddess to step forward to speak to me.
I’m going to be doing something important today. Something which I’ve been called to deliver time and time again, but which I keep shying away from. I want to know that I’m doing the right thing. I want to know I’m supported. I want to know that I’m doing things with the clearest and best and purest intentions.
Athena steps forward, one eyebrow raised and an exasperated sigh resting upon her lips. And she says, “It’s about time. We gave you a gift so you could give it to others, not so you could keep it for yourself!”
The goddesses rarely speak to me in the airy fairy, soft, light way that people seem to think goddesses should talk. They are often startlingly direct. Tough yet tender. If you need someone to cut through the bullshit story you’ve been spinning yourself, ask a goddess. She’ll provide the wake-up call you’ve been searching for. And avoiding.
I pull back into myself and push towards full wakefulness, get dressed, drink tea, go about my day. But I knew I needed to share Athena’s words with you…
Because I know, my lovely, that you are probably just like me. There’s something that you know you could be doing. Something that sings to your spirit. Makes you happy when you’ve given yourself over to it. Delivers true and lasting value when you offer it to others. And yet… and yet…
For some reason, you’re not doing it. We tell ourselves that we’re not ready. We need to learn more, live more, practice more. There are workshops we need to do. There are books we need to read. Coaching sessions we need to commit to. A studio that needs prepared. A website designed. Time set aside.
The goddesses want you to know that that thing which makes you feel delicious when you’re doing it is their gift to you. And they didn’t give it to you so that you could hold onto it, hide it away, keeping it secret, keeping it safe. No. They gave it to you so that you could pass it on.
Looking for your life purpose? Looking for what needs to be done next? Looking for that step, that direction, that orientation? Check in with yourself. Check in with where you find your joy, your bliss. And know that you already have your answer.
Accept your gift and pass it on, for only then will you truly receive the gift of living the life you were born to live.

I read this with smiling recognition – I feel that Athena has definitely been nudging me more than a little lately – ‘Go on! What are you waiting for? Don’t keep your light hidden away in a cupboard.’

Oh! Thank you for sharing this!
There is somethings inside me that make me feel delicious, and I am slowly discovering them one by one!

This made me smile Amy. The only time I did one of your guided visualisations the goddess sighed at me in a most exasperated tone and said ‘please remember who you are’, as if talking to a small child, incapable of remembering. I think on reflection it was very good advice, if delivered in a rather surprising tone!
I am so glad you are offering your gifts. I think it will make you happy to set them free.
