Do You Feel the Pull of the Moon?
I pull open the blinds and look out at… nothing. A dense, white, sea fog has drifted in overnight and is now pressing itself against my windowpanes. In response, I press my body to the other side of the cold glass, and stare out at the swirling forms that appear and disappear in the milky air. After a while my eyes stop striving for focus, and I lose where I end and the fog begins. I feel my consciousness stretch out before me and soon I am dancing between the tiny water droplets suspended in the air. I am diving between rain-soaked blades of grass. I am soaring on the updraft created from the ships’ foghorns blasting out into blinding nothingness.
This is an excerpt from the introduction to the moon guide I’m just readying to send out to my Bloom by Moon ladies. Every new moon I send out a beautiful collection of prose pieces exploring a variety of cultural interpretations of that particular lunar cycle. This month’s includes the Willow Moon (Celtic Tree Calendar), Moon of Waiting (Hopi), Full Moon in Scorpio (Astrological) and Buddha Day.
Alongside each of these explorations, I include journal prompts for each, so that you can truly connect to the themes of each interpretation. You can use these prompts to inspire your art, your writing, your life choices, your work in the world… However you choose to use them, these prompts will not only bring you into a deeper connection with the moon – they’ll bring you into communion with your self.
The subscription is exceptionally affordable at the tiny price of £12, and you can cancel at any time – you won’t be locked into a set period of time, and if the price rises in the future, your subscription will remain at this lower rate.
To receive your moon guide on this new moon and subsequent new moons, simply click on the Subscribe button below, and you’ll receive your first guide on Friday.
