Hathor’s Goddess Guidance 25/4/13
For one week only, I want to share with you the daily goddess readings that I share in my Goddess Guidance Group.
To give you a wee bit of background, every reading I do is accompanied with an image like the one you see above. Usually, I just share the image here and in various other places. But the reading itself, which includes a short description of that day’s goddess and the energy she brings, as well as my own experience during my morning goddess meditation and the message the goddess gave me, only appears in my Goddess Guidance group and/or my Practical Magic Business Circle.
I also include a few prompts and occasionally an exercise to try out, a blog post to read, a Pinterest board to check out etc. In the group, members take these prompts as opportunities to explore what’s going on with them at that moment in their life and to receive support, inspiration, comfort, love, communion. As one of my members said, “the love and support of fellow members is unbelievable! I am continually amazed by the love and light shining forth from women all of the world, all of whom I have never met in person. Despite the distance we are so strongly connected and it makes me feel like I am truly never alone.”

Thursday’s goddess is… Hathor!!
Another Ancient Egyptian goddess today! Hathor, known as The Golden One invites us into an experience of wealth. She was appealed to in a variety of situations – to deliver domestic harmony, romantic bliss, financial prosperity. And while we most commonly think of the latter when we connect to the quality of wealth, the true feeling of wealth is not limited to money. It’s so much more than that….
When I opened the door to today, I found myself in a formal living room. From the thick plush carpet to the immaculate dust-free mantlepiece to the plastic-wrapped sofa, the entire place screams perfection. I stand on the edges not wanting to make a mark or accidentally break anything. I feel exceptionally uneasy, and there’s tension running right throughout my whole body. I am aware that I cannot be myself in this sterile environment where the energy is all locked down tight. There’s no space to breathe here. I ask Hathor if she has a message for us, and she says…
“Where is the joy?”
We can try and lock down all the details of our life, try to control every single variable, try to protect that which is precious to us by holding it in some kind of stasis. But the truth is that when we do this, we limit life. And when we limit life, we lose so much of what makes that life worth living.
Hathor is stepping forward today to remind us to loosen our grip, and to let life deliver us joy. Yes, things may get messy. Yes, they may not turn out how you expected. Yes, it may feel like a risk. But it feels to me that there is an abundance of life, of joy, of wealth to be experienced in this world. And Hathor wants you to receive this. She knows you deserve this. She knows it’s your birthright. And through connecting to our joy, she delivers us true wealth.
Release and receive.
