Aine – Goddess of Magical Thinking
Aine is a Celtic goddess of love and light, and who has persisted throughout Christianity by being transformed into Leannan Sidhe – a source of mischief and magic.
Aine’s Message For You…
Do you believe in magic? Do you believe in fairies? Do you believe in the things of this world that cannot be seen through eyes blinkered by cynicism?
There are those who would have you believe in only the tangible, the rational, the known world that can be measured and weighed, analysed and explained, marketed and consumed. But the truth is that there is so much more out there than can possibly fit within that paradigm. And that what makes life truly worth living is the intangible, the ethereal, the invisible.
So dance in the spaces in between that which can be explained by theories espoused as Truth, and open your eyes to an experience of life infinitely richer for its perception of magic. Fill your gaze with the marvellous, the wonder-filled, the sparkly, the fantastical. Stir your imagination and let yourself be enchanted by the way the dust motes dance, the synchronicitous moment, the shooting star, the miracle, the blessing, the awe-inspiring experience of being alive right now, right here.
Believe in magic. Believe in fairies. Believe in the things of this world that can only be seen through eyes awakened to wonder.
Items for Aine’s Altar: Fairies, glitter, coloured glass, magic wands, flowers, collected treasures from a nature trail (leaves, feathers, nuts, seeds, stones), amber.

I *love* the timing of reading this. *Magic* is a vital piece of my essence and I am in an experience where I “needed” reminding of that. So I find it synchronistic and quite *magical* that this article was the first in my Twitter feed and I was drawn to read it. Wonderful way to open this day…and a direct answer to my heart whispers…thank you!
