Another Turn Of The Spiral
Yesterday I launched the next round of the Practical Magic Business Circle. We begin on the 9th March and we will be in circle with one another, with our businesses, and with the goddesses for 13 weeks.
And as we spiral through these weeks together, we will touch on the same themes that were explored in the previous Practical Magic Business Circle that I held last autumn – Creativity, Ritual, Embodiment, Comparison, Boundaries and Cycle.
We will also be meeting the same goddesses as those that gathered to meet us in the autumn circle – Gaia, Hecate, Shakti, Amaterasu, Sekhmet and Sheila-Na-Gig.
We will even have the same circle sister guides to really deepen our understanding and to open our eyes and hearts to new perspectives, new ideas, new knowings – Julie Daley, Kathleen Prophet, Lindsay McLeod, Lauren Bacon, Tanya Geisler, Randi Buckley and Lisa Lister.
But…. the energy of this cycle feels completely different. Let me tell you why….
The last cycle began in September, which, for many of us, feels like an active moment. Schools are returning to begin the new academic year. Our harvests are ripening. We are experiencing ourselves in our fullness. And we ended the cycle at the very end of November – the length of the days had shortened considerably, and the weather had turned cold. All the leaves had dropped from the bare branches, and we were all feeling the call to turn within.
The last circle was held over the waning of the yearly cycle (at least, in the northern hemisphere).
This time, we are coming out of that tightly wound, closely spooled, inward turned place, and we are feeling the quickenings of the waxing stage of the cycle. The days are a little longer than they were last month. There are still cold snaps, but there is a warming of the temperatures – if only very slight. The blossom has yet to bud on those bare branches, and yet you know that they are moving into readiness to flower.
So yes, the themes may be the same this time round. The goddesses may be the same. And the circle sisters too. But trust me, this is going to feel like a very different circle indeed.
As before each circle sister who claims her place will receive a business goddess who has stepped forward specifically for her and her business for the next 3 months. She’ll have her own altar space in the circle – a place where she will be able to collate her circle experience, her intentions, her celebrations, her challenges and her discoveries. And she’ll be invited to lean into the creative business practice that we establish over the course of our time together, to follow the threads of her gifts, her desires, her energy, her unique calling to serve both others and herself in deep and compassionate ways.
Every circle is its own special experience. And I would love for you to experience this one.
