Knitting in company…
A really short post today, as I have to get up super early in the morning to catch my flight to Bordeaux. Which means that today has been more than a little hectic. Especially as I decided to send everyone who has purchased a 2017 My Word Goddess Reading so far an extra wee gift to support the deepening of their goddess connection. And that, my lovelies, was a *lot* of emails.
So, after making up a lovely pdf to send out, and then emailing hundreds of women, and then checking in for my flight, ordering my taxi and packing(!), I made some space to go to knitting group with my daughter.
And oh I am so glad I did.
I arrived feeling tired, stressed, a bit on edge from the demands of the day, and also from the anticipation of the upcoming travel. But after about the second row, I began to feel my heartbeat drop into a steady rhythm, I remembered to breathe… ah yes – this is one of the many reasons why I knit. It brings me back to me.
Not only that, I got to knit in the most lovely company. Smart, funny women who enjoy a pint with their purls. Two hours fairly flew by, before I took my leave to head back home, as I still have some prep to do before the taxi arrives before dawn to whisk me off the airport.
But yes… so so glad I took the time out to knit in company. Tomorrow, when I post, it will be from a different land – how exciting!
