Preparing to meet the goddess…

I’m coming to the tail end of the My Word Goddess Reading season – last day to order is the 31st Jan – and so I find I am beginning to turn my attention to The Goddess Self, an online circle offering where each will dive into deep relationship with their 2017 goddess through developing a sacred selfie practice.

And, because I’m a woman who believes in walking her talk, part of my preparations have been to spend some time getting to know my own goddess for the year…

Iduna – Goddess of Soul Food – stepped forward for me. And while she is a goddess that I’ve worked with extensively in various different ways, I’ve never had her as a goddess of the year before. So far, she is exquisitely rocking my world, and is inviting a new level of appreciation of soul and matter that is just blowing my mind (and heart!) wide open.

In the pdf report, that all recipients of the 2017 My Word Goddess Readings receive, I share a creative exercise that I personally turn to over and over again. One that never fails to reflect back to me the reasons why any particular goddess steps forward for me. As I circled back to this practice with Iduna as my guide, it was with little surprise that I was so beautifully met by it again. Tried, trusted, true.

The result of the practice is the cultivation of 13 ‘faces’ of the goddess – which are really aspects of self reflected back through our goddess connection. In The Goddess Self, we will be taking each one of these faces and creating a corresponding self-portrait using our phone cameras and some really basic (and free) photo-editing apps. Honestly, I cannot even tell you how excited I am to be exploring this in a circle with kindreds. We begin on the 1st February, and I have no idea how I’m going to be able to wait until then!

But one thing I did want to share now was my own 13 faces of Iduna that I will be exploring in The Goddess Self. I so loved what I discovered…

Iduna is a soulful connection.
Iduna is the ensoulment of matter – the embodiment of soul.
Iduna is inspired flesh.
Iduna is practicing presence with her choices.
Iduna is the quality of her attention.
Iduna is a bountiful harvest.
Iduna is consciously crafting her life.
Iduna is intention ripening.
Iduna is experiencing life as a series of ‘encounters’.
Iduna is generative.
Iduna is the story of this particular moment.
Iduna is in right relationship with materialism.
Iduna is where soul meets soul, where matter meets matter, and where both are transformed.
