Psyche’s Mirror: Divining Your Personal Astrology

Astrology seems to be everywhere we look these days. From memes to marketing, dating profiles to daily horoscopes, the language of the stars is frequently found throughout our daily discourse. And yet, for all its familiarity, astrology still holds a certain mystique, where relatively few can navigate their way through the symbols and constellations of an astrological chart, let alone apply their discoveries and interpretations to their everyday lived experience.

I would love to guide you into a deeper understanding of the ancient practice of astrology. I would love to give you the keys to your own chart.

There are so many classes, courses, webinars, books and websites all offering a wealth of astrological information, each full of insight and ancient wisdom. These resources can teach you the basic components of a chart, which you can then assemble, in much the same way as a cook might use a recipe book to create a meal using a variety of ingredients.

However, what is missing is the deeply personal and relational understanding of our own personal astrology charts. And, in my experience, this is what we all most want to understand. Just as the inscription on the Temple of Apollo in Delphi invites, astrology supports us to “know thyself” – and we do that by first reading our own chart.

Psyche’s Mirror is my new astrology mentoring program to support you, in the first instance, to understand your unique astrology by introducing you to the planets and their position in sign and house of your natal chart. Then, secondly,

• to form a relationship to your astrology so that you can use your chart to inspire your making and creative self-expression.

• to develop a sense of deeper meaning in your daily life.

• to provide dynamic “frameworks for seeing” that allow for greater perspective and a profound appreciation for life’s brilliant complexity.

I believe that when we explore our natal astrological chart, we hold a mirror up to our soul.

This program has been designed to guide you into soulful reflective practice using the myths, archetypes, symbols, images and stories of astrology as humanity’s shared and treasured resource. Together we will scry for meaning. Together we will divine our personal astrology.

As a member of Psyche’s Mirror you will be invited to 8 group zoom calls held on the Full and Dark Moons from the 10th July to the 21st October, as well as an opening call on Tuesday 1st July and a closing call on the Thursday 30th October.

In these group calls I will introduce new material, share information and stories regarding that month’s topic, and invite you into personal practice through visualisation and writing prompts. There will be opportunities to share and to be witnessed. All calls will be recorded, so you can catch up later if you need to, or, indeed, you can listen back as a refresher.

You will also be invited to join the online community home that I have built for us. A place where you will be able to connect with like souls, respond to creative prompts and questions, and share your process and practice on your own page.

I’m imagining our online home as a virtual temple space where we will each have our own altars dedicated to our astrology, and where we can come together as a circle of seekers walking together on a path towards deeper understanding of self and soul.

And there is an optional upgrade to include 4x30min 1-on-1 zoom calls where I can answer any questions that you may have, provide personalised support for reading your chart, and offer private witnessing for process and practice. This optional upgrade will be capped at 13 spaces, so that I can ensure I can schedule everyone in over each of the 4 months.

Our time together will be focused on these 4 topics…

Into the Light: Seeing Self & Soul – Our beautiful luminaries, the Sun and the Moon, light up our charts just as they light up the heavens. We will begin exploring our astrology by first turning our attention towards the brightest lights in our sky, before then addressing our Rising Signs and Chart Rulers. Together, these foundational chart elements offer deep insights into our journey through life. 

Up Close & Personal: Action, Attraction & Interaction – Mercury, Venus and Mars are known as the personal planets, as they are closest to Earth itself. Together they can give us insight into how we communicate, how we relate and how we take action. We’ll take a look at their placement in our charts, as well as investigating the mythic archetypes of Hermes, Aphrodite and Ares to see how they may enrich our interpretations.

Circles of Influence: Contracting, Expanding and Going Beyond – Next up, we have the social planets Jupiter, Saturn and the planetoid Chiron. As we move through life, we will encounter experiences that call us up and out into the world, and other experiences that demand we drill down, focus and commit. By turning our attention to the social planets Jupiter and Saturn, we will get a better idea of how these twin drives show up for us, before then introducing Chiron – the wounded healer, the heroic mentor, the wise wild outsider – who acts as the bridge between Saturn and the outer planets.

Talking About My Generation: Tales of the Collective – Concluding our deep dive into the planets, we meet the transpersonal planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. With much larger orbits, these planets impact whole generations, but they also influence us as individuals. The themes of innovation, imagination and transformation thread their way through all our stories; by addressing the position of these outer planets in your chart, we can begin to better understand their impact on how we move to meet the larger cycles of change that affect us all.

• Invitations to 4 Full Moon Zoom Circle Calls: Thursday July 10th, Saturday August 9th, Sunday September 7th, Tuesday October 7th – time to be arranged with view to accommodate as many participants as possible.

• Invitations to 4 Dark Moon Zoom Circle Calls: Thursday July 24th, Saturday August 23rd, Sunday September 21st, Tuesday October 21st – time to be arranged with view to accommodate as many participants as possible.

• Access to our online home: A private community where you can record your process, share your practice, connect with other like souls and keep track of upcoming calls.

• Prompts, Invitations & Witnessing: There will be discussion threads in our online space for you to share your thoughts and your responses to the invitations from the calls, as well as opportunities to witness and be witnessed.

• Optional Upgrade – 4x30min 1-on-1 Zoom Calls: You will be invited at the beginning of each month to book your 30min call. Limited to 13 places.

Our circle will open on Tuesday July 1st with a call at 7pm UK time.

During this call, I will introduce you to the structure of our programme, as well as showing you how to draw up your own chart and how to navigate our online home. You will also have an opportunity to meet one another and introduce yourselves. It is my experience that these kinds of circle draw to them those who are loving and generous in their outlook, while feeling the drive to dive deeply into their own practice. This always makes for incredibly rich community connections as we weave together the most fascinating soul journey tapestries.

If you do not have your birth time, we will still be able to look at the planets’ positions with respect to the zodiac, but we will be missing a large part of chart information: the houses.
