Lifting Veils

I’ve been a bit quiet on the blogging front, and I’m not even sure if I can explain why. After the frantic rush of activity that was December and January, I think I just really needed to pull back a bit throughout February.

So, I’ve been taking care of myself. I’ve been focusing on my writing practice. I’ve developed a much deeper relationship with my chakras. I’ve continued to guide the lovely ladies in my goddess group. I’ve taken Instagram photos. I’ve pre-launched Mothers & Crones: Ancient Wisdom for the Modern Goddess (launch 8th March!). I’ve been interviewed and I have interviewed others.

And I’ve started to share some personal, raw writing over at a wee blog called Lifting the Veil.

Why have I been writing at Lifting the Veil and not here? Well, I didn’t feel as though it was a good fit for what I’m focusing on here. I needed a wee room of my own where I could just post the kind of prose poems that have been flowing from my pen.

They’re not meant to guide you in any way. I’m not writing how-to’s or offering advice. This is me writing at my edge. I hope you see some beauty in the vulnerability of my words. They’re not easy to share, but every time I check in with my heart and ask if sharing is the right thing for me, the right thing for you, a small voice answers, ‘Yes’. And so I’m sharing them.

Just remember, they come from a tender place, so hold these words lightly and lovingly: baby bird messages from my heart.
